Okay, you’ve never heard of BestLibraryShows.com, right? That’s only because we’re a new summertime division of www.AssemblyShows.com, Michigan’s most successful elementary school show production company.
In fact, that goofy looking guy in the red hat above is me, Doug Scheer. I’m a man of many hats---literally--and the programs I offer prove it.

As for me, I was voted one of the top 10 children’s entertainers in the country by the prestigious KSGB, a elite group of children’s entertainment experts consisting of television hosts, comedy writers, authors, lecturers and performers. WACKY SCIENCE
The Wacky Science Show is KOOKY, NUTTY and a WHOLE LOTTA FUN! But it’s also a nationally ranked educational show that makes the Scientific Method easy to understand. These experiments all use common household items with an emphasis on safety. Pull out your science books--the kids will make a dash for that section of your library once the fun is all done.
The Show (For kids 4 and up)
Big enough to fill the largest stage or adaptable for the smallest library, The Wacky Science Show promises loads of surprises, comedy and audience participation combined with lessons kids won’t soon forget. Through illustrative tricks and captivating demonstrations, students discover the important role they play in protecting our natural resources. And for the summer of 2010 there’s a special focus on WATER: Water conservation, salt water vs. fresh water and the leading cause of water pollution. Kids have fun while learning ideas that they'll use for a lifetime. Topics Include: • Causes of Air, Land & Water Pollution • Resource & Water Conservation • Endangered Species • The Four R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Re-Purchase • Environmental Facts & Issues • What Students Can Do To Help

PUZZLE PALOOZA
Puzzle Palooza will get you thinking like a magician as the secrets to mind-boggling magic tricks and puzzles are finally revealed in a hands-on, action-packed 40 minute show.
Can you tie a knot in a rope without letting go of the ends? Can you cut a hole in a 3x5 card that’s big enough to poke your head through? You’ll learn some creative secrets of magic and mind-bending puzzles that you can use to twist the minds of your family and friends!
The Show (For kids 4 and up) excites young minds and makes bodies active with crazy and zany ‘challenge-like’ puzzles. Kids learn to sort dolls in an impossible way and see a dollar bill turn itself inside out! Using toys and common household items kids will learn to create mind-bending stunts and perform brain twisting “gotcha’s”. Magic tricks, tons of audience participation and a few Rube Goldberg devices will help stretch the imagination of participants. Come early and stay late: the challenges begin before the show and are followed by some one-on-one coaching after the finale. 40 minutes
The Seminar (For Tweens 8-14) promises to get your teens thinking creatively while trying to solve ‘challenge-like’ puzzles. Using common house hold items teens will learn to solve clever topological puzzles, create mind-bending stunts and perform brain-twisting “gotcha’s”. This is a small group, round-table like seminar that will have your teens expressing themselves in a new way. 45-60 minutes
